Gendo - The Gender and Sexuality-Based Board Game!
This assessment was part of the Social Justice & Learning Unit, where students learned all about gender , race, cultural and socio-economic prejudice. Our group members Included Samuel, Amy, David and Myself. We decided to focus on Gender Issues and Gender Stereotypes. We based our board game off 'Cluedo' and this game had students use investigation techniques to challenge students understanding of the pre-concieved stereotypes about gender and sexuality. For example, your character could be straight, but they like listening to Celine Dion and like to wear red knee-high boots. These ideas directly conflict gender stereotypes, which was the target of the game.
