Music Secondary Curriculum 1/2 A/B
Majority of my work has appeared on my Music Blog. This blog is a tool that i created which places all of my teaching resources in one place for easy access. I have used many of these resources during professional practice 1 & 2.
For Secondary Curriculum Music 1B, we had to create three iBooks. One that suits the average student. One that is adapted for a student with learning difficulties, as well as a final version which caters for students with Gifted and Talented capabilities.

Upon reflection, i really loved how our assignments often involved the use of online resources. It provided a clear, easy avenue to produce materials. It is a realistic assessment, where it is likely for us to use these actual resources in a real setting. Thinking back, my website blog could have been improved with proper lesson plans attached to each activities, with detailed instruction. For now however, these resources will continue provide easy solutions to aspects of unit programs throughout my professional development. |
To effectively access these documents, you need an iPad. So this specific type of resource is not for every student, or even every school.
Nonetheless, it is a fantastic platform for student learning. 1.5: This assessment achieves this standard through the systematic development of differentiation for a student with specific learning needs. This type of resource could be used as a personal catalogue of learning imformation, and also acts as a study tool for students. It is essentially an interactice textbook. 3.6: This project is unique, in that you create a learning program. Once that is done, you adapt it for different hypothetical students. This standard is demonstrated through the creation of a short program, which is improved and altered based upon relevant research and the needs of specific students. 5.3: This iBook contains various forms of assessment, including pre-test, summative & formative assessment. Each level of assessment is scaffolded, and even adjusted for specific students. The task culminates in a composition activity in Garage Band. |
