This assignment was designed to allow students to use a scholarly article to critique and improve a lesson plan that students find themselves. This allows students to adapt their knowledge of teaching strategies and develop new pedagogical processes.
This assignment meets several standards:
1.3: Through meticulous identification of social reproduction theory, and the purpose of becoming a strong role model for students.
2.1: Adaptation of teaching strategies to improve an existing lesson plan.
3.3: While this assignment does not put theory into practice, it does involve the author to think about how they would use strategies in a classroom.
6.1: One aspect of professional learning is to research new practice and develop stronger, better ways of teaching. This is evident throughout this assignment through the adaptation and modification of a lesson plan based through other pedagogical theory.

Upon reflection of this assessment, it is clear that it started the journey of Proffessional Development and the idea of going through processes to reflect and improve teaching practice. This assignment got myself thinking about how it reached specific standards in and of itself, to critically evaluate its success. Then, to apply new learning theory to improve the lesson and teaching practice overrall.
